South Herts 1 – 4 St Neots

Herts put in a much improved performance this week and were unlucky to lose 4-1.

Having lost keeper Mo Gough the night before the match, Claire Moore stepped into the breach and made a number of fine saves during the match.

Herts went behind to a goal from a penalty corner but fought back and created a number of chances of their own. and could easily have been level at half time.

The second half started badly with Herts conceding a second almost from the restart as a ferocious shot gave Moore no chance. Herts continued to look for goals but their forwards were lacking their usual sharpness and chances went begging.

St Neots scored two quick goals midway through the half to go 4-0 up but Herts did not give up and having picked the ball up close to the half way line, Anna Walker ran at the St Neots defence and shot from a wide angle, scoring via a slight deflection from the defender to give Herts a deserved goal.
