South Herts 2nd XI v WGC

In their first friendly of the season, South Herts played a strong game however played an extremely disorganised first half allowing WGC unnecessary opportunities. WGC had a very strong attacking line creating several chances, but were kept out by some great defending by South Herts' defenders and goalie Glenys Chiswell. With some tighter man marking and an early second half goal by Chris Field and some strong attacking knocked WGC confidence in attack providing ample opportunity for South Herts midfield and forwards to apply continual pressure and scoring chances.

Making her debut in the forward line Bianca Terwin played some fantastic hockey scoring the second goal of the game to bring South Herts 2-0 up midway thorugh the second half.

Spending the majority of the latter half of the game in their attacking half and more and more forrays into the D, saw a frustrated South Herts fail to the net again.

Unfortunately a long ball up the pitch saw a sprint back for South Herts but were unfortunate to concede a late goal in the last 2 minutes of the game to finish with a well deserved 2-1 win.
