South Herts 2nd XI v St Neots 4th XI

It was another freezing Saturday and no one was relishing playing top of Five Counties League Division 4 team St Neots. We started optimistically, but found ourselves two goals down not very long into the first half. Spirits were not dampened,and before long, after a decent attacking spell, we had managed to get back on equal terms. Both goals coming from Chris Field, the first from a neat pass by Karen Lawson playing up front.

The second half saw some very good attacks with one or two chances missed, but also a very unlucky own goal, followed shortly by a fourth goal by the opposition. Some good work by the whole team was not quite reflected by the score. Rebecca Partridge was particularly determined in midfield and Glenys Chiswell made some excellent saves. Man of the Match went to Chris Field.
