Cheshunt 2nd XI v South Herts 2nd XI

Saturday 10th January saw the South Herts 2nd's arrive at Cheshunt with the temperature soaring at -4 degrees. After much debating between both teams due to the pitch being harder than concrete, we decided to go ahead with the game.

To make it that little bit tougher for ourselves we were down to 10 players. It didn't show though as we marked perfectly and gave no opportunities for the opposition to score. There were a few scary moments but we survived them with brilliance.

Halftime score was still at 0-0 and we were happy with the way things were going for us. We started the second half with the same positive attacking mode as the first. Quite a few chances came from both teams but finally South Herts managed to hit the back of the box and go 1-0 in the lead.

A few more good shots were made but no luck and we finished the game winning it 1-0. The first win of 2009 and we are all ready for more.

Well played to all the team. Everyone worked hard and we held on. Awesome Going!!!
